While you are participating in the Hypersyllogistic community, please obey the following simple rules:

1. Do not flame (insult) your fellow posters. These forums are a haven of civilized discussion.
   • As a corollary to the above rule: Leave personal fights off the forums.
2. Part of respect is discussing subjects in good faith. Don't misconstrue others' posts on purpose or otherwise engage in trolling.
3. Racial, ethnic, national, religious, sexual, or homophobic slurs are forbidden. Violation of this rule is a serious offense.
4. Extremely graphic content (either violent or sexual) is not permitted.
5. Avoid repetitious posts.
6. Do not post spoilers without using spoiler BB code tags. Use common sense when deciding what a spoiler might be. When in doubt, use the spoiler tags.
7. No discussion of piracy and/or means to accomplish it.
8. Do not advertise.
9. Do not SPAM.
10. Do not have signature images larger than 700 pixels wide or 200 pixels tall.
11. Comply with moderator instructions.
12. Do not use more than one account.
13. Do not plagiarize anything you see on these forums or the Hypersyllogistic web site itself. Instant banishment will befall anyone who defies this rule.

Generally, users will receive five warnings for rule infractions before being permanently banned. The staff, however, reserves the right to ban before they have issued the five warnings, if user misbehavior is severe (for instance, in the event of plagiarism).
