id Software, the makers of the impressive and venerable Quake 2, Quake 3, and Doom 3 visual engines, have in secret been working on their next opus: Tech 5. John Carmack, the founder and leader of id Software, talks about the new engine below:

I can't wait to see games that use this technology. They're probably at least a couple years away, though.
