Thank you, Yoda. That was just the support I needed.

Beta Band! I love "The Three EPs". Quote The Germans are known for two things, driving tanks over piles of skulls, and bizarre sexual fetishes." You do know I put on a SS uniform when going to bed, don't you? Hah! Devil Driver - Before the Hangman's Noose ![]() Think for yourself. Question authority. Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos; it has been the authorities- the political, the religious, the educational authorities- who attempt to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations. Informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. I've recently rekindled my love for Judas Priest and Cheap Trick.
As I've been bedridden for a week, I've listened to the entire works of Harold Budd on rotation. Any of you heard of him? Ambient piano composer, did some work with Brian Eno, Cocteau Twins, Hector Zazou. Haunting, beautiful. Posted 28 March 2006 - 11:47 AM Quote I never could get into Priest. Maiden's where it's at! Amen. I recently received an iTunes giftcard for my birthday and used it on some old favorite tracks off of Live After Death and Somewhere in Time. Great albums. I had them on vinyl as a teenager and for whatever reason never upgraded to CDs over the years. My tastes changed a bit I guess. But damn, the tracks I downloaded bring back some great memories. Nothing beats the Live After Death performance of "Aces High", complete with the Churchill speech at the beginning. Classic. Also very partial to Somewhere in Time, as this was my first Iron Maiden album. Wasted Years rocks. #33

Alice in Chains - Man in the Box
and Buck Cherry - Lit Up I'm a big fan of Iron Maiden... In my psychology class, my teacher was talking about one experiment on monkeys, using a fake metal "mother" that was referred to as the Iron Maiden, and he said, "you'll be familiar with this if you study a lot of psychology, or if you like bad metal bands." My response: "Dude. Do NOT diss the Maiden." This post has been edited by Joshua: 14 May 2006 - 09:27 AM #36

I'd have bitch slapped him, or at least thrown a large eraser in his direction. Me? I've been listening to a great unsigned band I found on MySpace, who were good enough to send me a CD for nothing. I've been rockin' quite a bit of Maiden recently, as well as some old Malmsteen (Marching Out)... and of course, I have a whole playlist of John Williams on my ipod I keep in random play mode. Mostly Star Wars but some other films as well. 'Battle of the Heroes' has quickly become one of my favorites. I could write a freakin' book I'm so eclectic with my tunes.....
