![]() Think for yourself. Question authority. Throughout human history, as our species has faced the frightening, terrorizing fact that we do not know who we are, or where we are going in this ocean of chaos; it has been the authorities- the political, the religious, the educational authorities- who attempt to comfort us by giving us order, rules, regulations. Informing, forming in our minds their view of reality. To think for yourself you must question authority and learn how to put yourself in a state of vulnerable, open-mindedness; chaotic, confused, vulnerability to inform yourself. Think for yourself. Nine Inch Nails - Year Zero. Pretty decent album. Hey Merlinus, I remember we once talked about Rammstein and you said you don't know that German band. If you like industrial rock, maybe you'll like Rammstein too. Here an example: It's not exactly my cup of tea, but many of their music videos are funny. I'm listening to "Snow Patrol"--"Shut Your Eyes" now. ![]() "In earlier religions the spirit of the time was expressed through the individual and confirmed by miracles. I'm glad I could help! As for Rammstein: I can only take it in small doses, but many of their music videos are hilarious and/or very stylish. In case you haven't done so yet, it's worth checking them out (they should all be available on Youtube). Apart from "Sonne", you should also check out "Links Zwo Drei Vier", "Mein Teil" and "Keine Lust". And if you want me to translate some lyrics for you, I'm to your disposal! I'm currently listening to "Nickelback -- All the Right Reasons". Great album. After avoiding Mariah Carey most of my life, I became a big fan of her last month I received a $20 ITunes gift certificate for Christmas and, for want of anything better to purchase, I bought her Greatest Hits album. Listening to that reeled me into Mariah fandom; subsequently getting and hearing her latest album, Emancipation of Mimi, secured my place there. I'm now a devoted Mariah fan who's eagerly awaiting the release of her next album this April.
Here are some of my favorite Mariah Carey songs: "Hero" "Fantasy" "Honey" "We Belong Together" ![]() "People should not be afraid of their governments. New Nine Inch Nails album just came out. Ghosts I-IV. Basically, its 36 instrumental tracks, all kinda experimental. Extremely creative stuff. You can get it for 5 bucks on the Nine Inch Nails website. 5 bucks, and you can download it in one of several formats, including FLAC (lossless audio). Totally worth it, if you like their music.

A bunch of 80's new wave dance club 12" singles I inherited, burned to MP3s and loaded onto my phone, including March Of The Sinister Ducks by the Sinister Ducks, featuring comics guru Alan Moore on lead vocals.
