Zipcar is running this advertisement on Facebook, the primary demographic of which is college students:

This rental car company is being subtle, isn't it. :P Of course, with an advertisement like that, I hope Zipcar is including condoms and paper towels in the glove compartment! ;)

I'm not certain it even makes sense. And who spends 420 hours looking for parking? You'd be better off selling your car if it is giving you that much trouble.

Actually, having just spent a couple of weeks in the Baltimore Washington area, (and going back in another 2 weeks) I can very easily see people spending 420 hours a year looking for parking.

Jason, Do rental cars up that really cost that much for a daily rental though? When I was visiting Ft Meade, I don't think I paid even half that for a daily rate.

Oh, yes! I plan to live in the D.C. area a while after I graduate, and I don't intend to own a car for a while, if ever, because I'd never find anywhere to park it!

I'm not sure, because I've never had to rent a car. But prices in the Washington, D.C., area do tend to be higher than those of much of the rest of the country.
